I used to take virulence before, but now it is replaced by oppressive gaze (under blood). This frees slot up an elite slot, which can now be used with jagged bones (for bleeding).

The thing with jagged bones and even more with death nova is that it tend to let the MM lagging behind the group - I don't currently use Jagged bones but I do use death nova I put it on another hero though.
